What are snapshots?
A snapshot is a point-in-time capture of all available data for a saved address. Every Sunday evening, DoesItHaveIt? runs a fresh aggregation on each of your saved addresses and stores the results as a dated snapshot.
What's captured in each snapshot
- Internet providers and advertised speeds
- Transit line count and nearest stop distance
- Walkability score
- Grocery store count within radius
- Active permit count and latest permit type
- Healthcare facility count
- Demographic data point for the census tract
Viewing analytics
Go to Dashboard → Analytics and select a saved address from the dropdown. Charts show each tracked metric over the weeks you've had the address saved. Hover over any data point to see the exact snapshot value and date.
What changes might I see?
Permit counts change as new permits are filed and old ones age out of the 12-month window. Transit schedules change with regional service updates. Internet providers occasionally change coverage. Demographics update with each official survey release.
In practice, most addresses are stable week-to-week. The value is in catching significant changes — a surge in permits, a new transit line, or a major demographic shift.
Minimum history
You need at least 2 snapshots before charts are meaningful. If you saved an address this week, you'll see your first comparison chart next week.
