What are intent modes?
Intent modes let you tell DoesItHaveIt? what you're evaluating the address for. Switching modes reweights and reorders the result cards to prioritize what matters most for that use case.
Any (default)
Shows a balanced view across all categories. No category is suppressed or elevated. Good for general curiosity or when you're not sure what you're looking for yet.
Buying
Optimized for home buyers. Elevates:
- Permits and construction activity (are neighbors building? is there new development nearby?)
- Schools (district, ratings, proximity)
- Long-term neighborhood trajectory (census trends, development density)
- Crime and safety signals (where data is available)
- Flood zone and hazard information
De-emphasizes short-term factors like upcoming events or current transit schedules.
Renting
Optimized for renters. Elevates:
- Transit access (bus, rail, bike lanes)
- Walkability score and nearby grocery/errands
- Internet provider options (critical for remote workers)
- Parking availability indicators
- Laundromat and essential services proximity
Vacation
Optimized for short-term stays. Elevates:
- Events and entertainment within range
- Restaurants, bars, and nightlife
- Tourist attractions and parks
- Short-term rental market context (average rates, occupancy)
Note: Events are a Premium feature — Vacation mode works on all plans but event cards require Premium.
