Using the map

How to use the map panel, toggle pin layers, and filter what you see.

Opening the map

After a search, click the Map tab at the top of the results page to switch to map view. The map is powered by MapLibre GL and shows your searched address as a pin at the center.

Pin layers

Different data categories appear as separate pin layers on the map:

  • Transit stops (blue)
  • Grocery stores (green)
  • Schools (amber)
  • Permit activity (purple, heatmap)
  • Healthcare (red)
  • Events (teal, Premium)

Use the layer toggle panel (upper right of the map) to show or hide individual layers. Your preference is saved for the session.

Interacting with pins

Click any pin to open a popup with details. Transit stop popups show route names and schedules. Grocery store popups show chain name, hours, and distance. School popups link to the school's website.

Adjusting the search radius

A circle overlay shows the active search radius for the current category. The radius differs by category (transit stops default to 0.5 mi, grocery to 1 mi, events to 10 mi). On Upgrade and Premium plans, you can adjust the radius slider in the map settings panel.

Map not loading?
